Stabdh (Hindi)

Stabdh hey, Soch rahey hey,
Kya kahey, nishabd hey,
Tere saamney Khuda, Ay Khuda

Tere pyaar ney humko hey chuaa,
Tere hi rahenge
Hum sada sarvaada, Ay khuda

Hum gaaye Hosanna, gaaye hosanna,
Gaaye Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna

Aaradhana teri kartey hey hum,
Vandana teri hi ho hardam,
Yahova, Yahova, Yahova

Aaradhana teri kartey hey hum,
Vandana teri hi ho hardam,
Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua

Aaradhana teri kartey hey hum,
Vandana teri hi ho hardam,
Rooh-e-paak, Rooh-e-paak, Rooh-e-paak

Hum gaaye Hosanna, gaaye hosanna,
Gaaye Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna

Jay gaan teri, gaatey hey hum,
Buland ho teri shohrat aur hukumat har jagah, Ay Khuda

Hum gaaye Hosanna, gaaye hosanna,
Gaaye Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna

This song was born in the initial days of being overwhelmed by a greater understanding of who our God is (first week of October 2007).... 'Stabdh' means shocked and stunned, 'Nishabd' means silent.... Yes what can we say to Him that will befit Him.... nothing... our language and expressions are so poor.... It's now i understand why people wrote songs like 'O for a thousand
tongues to sing'...'Stabdh' is a very good worship song...definitely bound to become popular after its release... the ending of the song-'jay gaan teri' onwards needs to be sung to one note high to bring in the urgency into the singing regarding spreading His name....

Maafi (Hindi)

Kya socha tha jab mein tujhsey dur hua
Teri aawaaz ko unsuna kiya
Gunaahgaar hu prabhu mein jaanta hu
Tere hi dwaar par mein fir sey lauta hu

Maaf kar (4)

Teri aatma sey Prabhu mera mann badla
Tere vachan sey Prabhu mein taazaa hua
Kusoorwaar hu Prabhu mein jaanta hu
Tere lahu sey prabhu mein dhulney aaya hu

Paak kar (4)

Bridge
Yeshua karoonga teri stuti sarvada
Yeshua gaoonga teri mahima khuda

Hallelujah (4)

this song was evolved while we were into worship in the church.... the words...'maaf kar'....'paak kar' just happened... and for those 2 or 3 weeks....everytime we would worship, these words would be sung... we never planned it...initially i used to sing and then Blesson picked it while he was on the drums.... and it truly was very touching....it was perhaps in last week of September, 2007, that it finally was moulded into a song.....a few tune variations were brought into the bridge later on with Rajeev, but this song is now very popular in the church...and of course it had to be...cos it was born in worship...

Sirf Tum (Hindi)

Sirf Tum (2)
Yeshu, Sirf Tum

Meri chahat ho Tum, aur jaroorat ho Tum,
Sirf Tum, Sirf Tum

Tum Yeshu,
Sirf Tum, Sirf Tum
Tum Yeshu,
Sirf Tum, Tum hi Tum, Sirf Tum
Tum Yeshu,
Sirf Tum, Bas Tum, Sirf Tum

Mere khwaab ho Tum, aur hasrat Tum,
Sirf Tum, Sirf Tum

Touch

In my heart, Let there be no pride,
And my eyes not be raised too high,
In my mind, Every thought,
So low be brought…
That calm and quieted is my soul,
So calm as to be touched, to be made whole…

Touch….Touch….Touch me Jesus…Touch me…
Touch me Lord..
Like a sheltered little child, Right by its mother’s side…
I’m revived by your touch… Jesus…

This is a almost like a continuation of 'the Hum', and inspired by Psalm 131. A preparation for an encounter with Jesus.. who quietens and revives by His Touch... written and composed on Nov 19, 2007

The Hum

So many things that i need to say..
How to say? What to say?
So many things that i could say..
Wonder how it will sound, When i say..

So maybe, I'll hold my silence before
The king of kings and my lord
Or maybe, maybe...
I'll hum a melody....

Hmmmm..hm..hm..hmmmmm (4)

I long for your presence
Touch me in my silence..

Hmmmm..hm..hm..hmmmmm (4)

end: hallelujah (4)

This song was composed during the third week of November, 2007, on my way to the factory.
That whole week I was overwhelmed by a newer understanding of who God is and that fact so moved me that I realised that the best of my words for God were so feeble and so far away from what he truly deserves and I realised that it is better to hold silence before the Most High God...
As I was thinking about the Chorus, I was reminded of Paul telling the Ephesians to make music in their heart for God (Eph5:19). How else could that music inside be expressed other than by humming it out...
It's a simple yet powerful worship song and I can imagine a big group humming it before God and it would truly be very fantastic...
The very first time I sang it in the church, everyone was touched intensly...
Its close to what David says in Psalm 42 about: 'deep calls unto deep'...
Surely, one of the songs for our forthcoming English album...!!

These are the songs I have written and the stories behind them. Hope it inspires a few of you to write your own songs too (THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
